2458613 - Error http: 500 When Launching the Software Update Manager Common User Interface

Symptom

  • When launching the Software Update Manager (SUM)  Common User Interface an error HTTP 500 is returned in the browser window
  • In the SAP Host Agent log 'sapstartsrv.log' you also see an error:
[Thr 2220] *** ERROR => Logon user <domain>\<SID>adm is different from the execution user <hostname>\<SID>adm. This is on Windows not allowed. [GenericOperationCommand.cpp 233]".
