  • Error 3944 occurs when running dbcc checkdb and/or dbcc checkalloc on a database that is in standby access mode.
  • Msg 3944, Level 16, State 1:
    Server 'ASE', Line 1:
    Attempt to BEGIN TRANSACTION in database 'DB' failed because the database is in standby access mode.
