2459185 - How to Select International Time Model for Pre Localized or Non-Localized Countries

You have a requirement to assign International Time Models to an employee hired under any Pre-localized or Non-localized coutry but you are not able to assign the International Time Models to that specific employee.

Time Recording is not supported for a specific employee who are hired under Pre-localized or Non-localized countries

The functionality will be available in one of the future releases of Business ByDesign.

You can use the below two immediate workarounds until the functionalith is available

1. Hire Dummy employees to a non-related supported country (e.g: Brazil, Colombia, etc), that correspond to the Pre-localized or Non-localized employees, so that the time recording against projects can be done by them.

Your reports might show that there are double the number of employees which are present in the Pre-localized Non-localized countries. It can be filtered out using the country, it just means that when personnel events like a Transfer/Termination happens for these employees, the same has to be done for their Dummy counterparts, so that the cost posting for projects is not adversely affected.

2. Remove the Pre-localized or Non-localized country from scope. International Time Types and Time Accounts are allowed only for countries that are not scoped in the system. So, removing Pre-localized country from your project you will be able to use International Time Types.

The other contents present in Pre-localized or Non-localized country scoping like taxes, forms etc will be gone.
