IQ Performance went down dramatically when the configuration was switched from a system with Solaris T5-2 system with 32 CPUs to a system Solaris T5-4 system with 64 CPUs:
- At first the configuration for the -iqnumberofcpus and -iqpartitions was left the same as the smaller system.
- After the first couple of weeks - the parameters were changed to reflect the larger system
- iqnumberofcpus was increased from 32 to 64
- iqpartitions was increased to 32
As soon as load was added to the system - the performance went down with and many transaction being stuck in "PREPARETOCOMMIT"
