2459235 - Sender E-mail Address of Sales Order Incorrect

You want the sender e-mail address of the sales order to be the e-mail address of the sales order employee responsible, but the system takes up the e-mail address of the sales unit.

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Go to the Sales Orders work center.
2. Go to the Sales Orders view.
3. Open the sales order ABC (ABC represents the sales order ID)
4. Choose the Actions button and select Submit.

A mail is sent with the sender e-mail address as the sales unit e-mail address.

The determination of the sender e-mail address follows below order:

1. If the e-mail address of the Sales Unit is maintained in the external sales document, then on sending the e.g. sales order form to the customer an e-mail will be sent with the sender e-mail address as e-mail address of the Sales Unit.
2. In case, the e-mail address of the Sales Unit in not found, then the e-mail address of the Employee Responsible will be used.
3. If the e-mail address for both the Sales Unit and the Employee Responsible is not maintained, then e-mail address of the Seller will be used as the sender e-mail address.

1. Go to the Organizational Management work center.
2. Go to the Org Structures view.
3. Search and Edit the org unit XYZ(XYZ represents the sales unit ID of the sales order ABC)
4. In the General facet, under the Communication section, remove the e-mail Address maintained.

NOTE: The same holds true for all other external sales documents like sales quotes. Note, an opportunity, for example, is considered an internal sales document: the opportunity object is designed as an internal document for the sales team inside the selling company.

The sales quote /order are legally binding sales documents which are sent directly to the Buyer via Output (e-mail, fax or post).

Therefore the defaulting of sender e-mail address described here is valid only for such external sales documents like sales quote or sales order.
