• Error: "Server not found or server may be down" happens when creating Crystal report base on universe
• Unable to create Crystal report base on universe
• Error: "Unknown Database Connector Error. Details: Server  not found or server may be down" display

• Crystal Server (CR) 2013/2016/2020
• Crystal Reports (CRS) 2013/2016/2020

1. Start Crystal Reports 2016.
2. Click New->Standard Report->Create New Connection->Universe.
3. Logon Crystal Server 2016, universe list will display.
4. Select one universe to create query.
   =>Note that error: "Server not found or server may be down" happens.

• When creating Crystal Report base on universe, it will request Web Intelligence Processing Server to build the query.
  Please check the KBA: 1734425 - Error: All the servers with CMS <Server Name>:<Port Number>, cluster@<Server Name>:<Port Number> and kind webi server which host service <Service Name>, are down or disabled.
• Crystal Server 2013 or Crystal Server 2016 does not support for creating Web Intelligence Processing Server, it means it is not allowed to build report base on universe in Crystal Server environment.

Please build Crystal report base on universe on BI Platform Server or BI Edge Server.
