2460466 - Background colors from Matrix Grid placements are not printed

When printing the Matrix Grid Report, directly on its page or through People Profile - Matrix Grid graph from the "Overview", "Historical Matrix Grid Placement" portlets, or from the Performance Form with a 9 box (Performance-Potential Summary Section) - the background colors for the placements are not printed when using Firefox or Edge.

The Matrix Grid graph from the Matrix Grid Report page, and from the "Overview" and "Historical Matrix Grid Placement" sections on People Profile/Performance Form are created using a DIV HTML element and background colors for the styling. However, by default, browsers do not print background colors. For browsers such as Edge, Firefox, and Chrome, it is not possible to automatically force the printing of background colors for a given element.

To be able to print the Matrix Grid graph, the user needs to enable printing of background colors for Internet Explorer and Firefox before printing the Matrix Grid Report and the portlets on People Profile. You can follow below steps to enable the printing of background colors, in each browser:

Mozilla Firefox

1. On the Print Preview;
2. Options;
3. Check "Print backgrounds"

Microsoft Edge

1. On the Print Preview;
2. More Settings;
3. Check "Background Graphics".

Chrome

1. On the Print Preview;
2. More Settings;
3. Check "Background graphics"
