2460467 - LIV: Different behavior between BAPI and online transactions - SAP ERP & SAP S/4HANA

Symptom

If the user is posting an invoice using an online transaction (i.e. MIRO), and, for example, the Purchase Order used has items that are not selectable, the system will display only the items that can be invoiced at that moment and will ignore the ones that are not.

Nevertheless, posting the invoice via BAPI will raise an error for the item which is not available for invoicing.
An example would be error "ME 708 - Item XXX for purchasing document XXX not selectable"
