Number of columns reported when running Report from Edit - Preview is different than number of columns reported when Generating Report
Cause
Most likely there is a BIRT template associated to the report. This is expected behavior.
When running a report from Preview the BIRT template is not applied. The BIRT template is applied when running the report via the Generate button
