Symptom

  • Error during the installation of SAP Information Steward 4.2 SP8 when connecting to a repository database residing on SQL Server database
  • Error: "Invalid Information Steward Repository connection information"
  • In setupengine.log shows following information:
    UIICCValidator: RepoTestConnection -  Start
    UIICCValidator: RepoTestConnection -  Test Connection for JDBC Failed
