2461886 - Price Component Surcharge Cannot be Selected in the Total Pricing Section of a Sales Order or Service Order

You are not able to add surcharges to sales order or service orders in the total pricing section since the price component surcharge does not appear in the drop down list.

SAP Business ByDesign

We will use service orders as an example:

1. Go to the Service Orders work center.
2. Select the Service Order Processing view.
3. Open Service Order XYZ (XYZ represents the ID of the service order).
4. Navigate to the Pricing and Invoicing tab.
5. In the Total Pricing section click on Add Row.
6. In the drop down list for Price Component the price component Surcharge is not available

The scoping element Addtional_Surcharge is not in scope.

To activate the scoping element Addtional_Surcharge in your solution scope you can use the following steps:

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
2. Select the Implementation Projects view.
3. Select the respective implementation project and click on Edit Project Scope.
4. Navigate to the Questions step.
5. Select the path General Business Data -> Product and Service Pricing -> Sales Price Specifications
6. The following question needs to be active: Do you want additional surcharges at document level?

Once you have activated the question and finished your changes you can find and configure the Surcharges in the fine tuning activity Configure Price Strategy:

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
2. Select the Implementation Projects view.
3. Select the respective implementation project and click on Open Activity List
4. Navigate to the Fine Tune step.
5. Open fine tuning activity Configure Price Strategy.
6. Click on the Configure Pricing Procedure hyperlink.
7. You can see that the Price Component Surcharge is available in step 71, 72, 73 and 74.

Please note that if you like to see them in the Total Pricing section in your sales order or service order you need to ensure that Total Display is set to Yes.
