2462526 - Collections - Error: You no longer have access to this collection entry

Symptom

When you try to open an item from a collection, you get the following error: "You no longer have access to this collection entry".

Reproducing the Issue

  1. In the Learning user side, access a collection from the "Recommendations" tile >
  2. Click the item you would like to assign to yourself >
  3. The error will happen.

Cause

  • The item is not associated to any library.
  • The user does not have access to the library to which the item is associated.

  • The user is not enrolled in the program. As per current design, users will be able to access the program from collection only after they are enrolled in the program.

Resolution

Include the item to a library or give the user access to the library which the item is associated to.

Assign the program to users or ask them to enroll in the program first.
