Symptom

  • Job Scheduler is running on an SAP ASE database.
  • There is a need to separate the data and log for the sybmgmtdb database onto individual devices at installation time.
  • This should be part of standard installations, in order to accommodate seamless log expansion.
  • Especially on SAP Solution Manager systems where sybmgmtdb is prone to running out of log space. (SQL1105 errors).
