• SAP BusinessObjects Cloud

1. Create a Model in SAP BusinessObjects Cloud
2. Add a Row to the Account dimension:
• ID=COUNT
• Description=COUNT
• Account Type=NFIN
• Hierarchy=<BLANK>
• Units & Currencies=Label(Count)
• Aggregation Type=<BLANK>
• Exception Aggregation Type=COUNT
• Exception Aggregation Dimension=<DIMENSIONYOUWANTTOCOUNT>
• Required Dimensions=<DIMENSIONSYOUWANTTOCOUNTBY>
• Scale=<BLANK>
• Decimal Places=2
• Formula=<BLANK>
• Calculate on=<BLANK>
• Hide=No
• Threshold=<BLANK>
3. Save the Model and create a Story from it.
4. Notice the COUNT returns blank values

Formula property must contain a value.

For a simple count this is 1

For a more complex count can be an IF( , , )

1. Open the Model in SAP BusinessObjects Cloud
2. Edit the COUNT Row in the Account dimension:
• ID=COUNT
• Description=COUNT
• Account Type=NFIN
• Hierarchy=<BLANK>
• Units & Currencies=Label(Count)
• Aggregation Type=<BLANK>
• Exception Aggregation Type=COUNT
• Exception Aggregation Dimension=<DIMENSIONYOUWANTTOCOUNT>
• Required Dimensions=<DIMENSIONSYOUWANTTOCOUNTBY>
• Scale=<BLANK>
• Decimal Places=2
• Formula=1
• Calculate on=<BLANK>
• Hide=No
• Threshold=<BLANK>
3. Save the Model and create a Story from it.
4. Notice the COUNT returns the number of <DIMENSIONYOUWANTTOCOUNT> for every <DIMENSIONSYOUWANTTOCOUNTBY>
