The latest SLOG file of the system (DIR_TRANS/log/SLOG<nn>.<SID>) displays the following additional error messages:

ERROR: The values set for DIR_LIBRARY ('/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/') or dbms_type ('<dbtype>') are invalid.
ERROR: Connect to <SID> failed (20170425081314).

Symptom2:
