Symptom
During downtime, a dual stack system is split temporarily into invidual ABAP and JAVA instances by the Software Update Manager.
The ABAP instance is configured to run with the shadow instance number while the JAVA instance runs with the source instance number.
The profiles for the JAVA stack is recreated by SUM from a template in the previous step ADAPT-JAVA-PROFILE-DUAL-STACK as shown below:
Logfile: <Path to SUM>/SUM/sdt/log/SUM/ADAPT-JAVA-PROFILE-DUAL-STACK_XX.LOG
Apr 13, 2017 10:32:37 AM [Info ]: Configuration has been built from input file <Path to SUM>/SUM/sdt/config/FsoTasksRD.xml.
Apr 13, 2017 10:32:37 AM [Info ]: Global configuration has been built from input file <Path to SUM>/SUM/sdt/config/FsoTasksRD.xml.
Apr 13, 2017 10:32:37 AM [Info ]: File <Path to SUM>/SUM/sdt/config/templates/Profile_J2ee_Addin_Start has been copied to /sapmnt/<SID>/profile/START_DVEBMGS<source instance number>_<PAS hostname>.
Apr 13, 2017 10:32:37 AM [Info ]: Copy operation from file <Path to SUM>/SUM/sdt/config/templates/Profile_J2ee_Addin_Start to directory /sapmnt/<SID>/profile/START_DVEBMGS<source instance number>_<PAS hostname> has been executed.
Apr 13, 2017 10:32:37 AM [Info ]: Task ADAPT_JAVA_PROFILE_ADDIN of type fs has been executed.
Apr 13, 2017 10:32:37 AM [Info ]: Task type fs.
Apr 13, 2017 10:32:37 AM [Info ]: Task ADAPT_JAVA_PROFILE_ADDIN executed successfully.
Now For NW target >= 7.1, start profiles are no longer used and all the start parameters from the start profiles are migrated into the instance profile.
However as shown above, SUM incorrectly creates a start profile instead of the instance profile for the J2EE stack where the target is >= NW 7.1
