Cause
In the Material Flow Rules, under the Source Determination Rules, multiple sequence IDs are maintained for the the same logistics area usage.
You may check the Source Determination Rules with the following steps -
- Go To Supply Chain Design Master Data Work Center
- Go To Locations View
- Show Active Sites -> Find Site ABC -> Edit
- Navigate to 'Material Flow'
- Under Advanced Rules, Select Source Determination Rules
Here, user has maintained multiple sequence IDs with the same logistics area usage and without a stock seperator.
Resolution
This is standard system behavior. Material Flow Rules works only on one Sequence ID. In case multiple Sequence ID exist for the same logistics area usage, then Sequence Determination should be maintained. In the Sequence Determination, user should specify parameters like Logistics Unit, Product ID, Storage Group ID, Restricted Stock, Owner ID. Material Flow in this case will search for the Sequence Determination which matches the parameters. So the first Sequence which matches the parameter will be picked up. Hence the most specific sequence should be maintained at the top and most generic sequence at the bottom. If the sequence determination is not maintained, then the first sequence will be picked up by default.
