The report is showing unexpected/wrong data in Analysis for Office tool.

If the report is showing unexpected/wrong data in Analysis for Office, check first whether the issue is reproducible in the latest version of Analysis for Office.

Generally multiple errors are corrected with each AO patch. Important errors are documented in SAP notes, but not all minor corrections.

Visit the Wiki page "Analysis Office Installation and Update" and follow the instructions in section #2 to download the latest version of Analysis for Office. Then install it in just one test machine and check whether the issue is reproducible. 
Check topic #4 about the importance of checking the issue in the latest version of the tool.

In case the issue remains, attach to the SAP case the traces of the issue recorded in the latest version by following the instructions of SAP note 2129389.

In case of HANA data sources: check if the data is correct when previewing the data in HANA Studio. If it is not correct there, the issue lies on HANA side.

In case of BW data sources: check if the data is correct when executing the query in transaction RSRT (ABAP BICS mode) in the BW system. If it is not correct there, the issue is not related to Analysis for Office tool. Refer to SAP note 3021428.

In case of SAC data sources: check if the data is correct when executing the SAC Model directly in SAC in browser:

1. Logon to SAC in browser;
2. Go to Menu -> Stories;
3. Create new Canvas;
4. Select Table;
5. Select the Model;
6. Now it is possible to follow the same navigational steps as in AO. If the data is also incorrect in SAC, it is not related to a bug in AO.
