Symptom
Product Specification (Valuation Level ID) is selected in Material Unit Costs Report, however, no results are displayed.
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign.
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the Inventory Valuation work center.
- Go to the Reports view.
- Open the Material Unit Costs report.
- Select Product Specification (Valuation Level ID) in the selection criteria.
No values are displayed for the selection.
Cause
As none of the materials are valuated at Product Specification level, the report is not showing anything for Product Specification (Valuation level ID).
Resolution
The valuation of material at product specification level should be maintained.
First, the Valuation of material at Product Specification level should be scoped, by following the steps below:
- Go to the Business Configuration work center.
- Go to the Implementation Projects view.
- Click Edit Project Scope.
- Go to Questions chevron and expand Financial and Management Accounting.
- Under Valuation of Warehouse Inventory, mark the question "Do you want to allow valuation at the material, business residence and product specification level?"
Once the Product Specification Valuation level type has been added to the solution profile, it can be assigned to the respective material by the following steps:
- Go to the Inventory Valuation work center.
- Go to the Master Data view.
- Go to the Materials sub view.
- Select the Material ABC and click Edit.
- Go to the Valuation tab.
- Click Maintain Product Specification Valuation and maintain the values.
