2467630 - Product Specification (Valuation Level ID) Shows no Data in Material Unit Costs Report

Symptom

You selected Product Specification (Valuation Level ID) in Material Unit Costs Report, however you do not see any result here.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Inventory Valuation work center.
  2. Go to the Reports view.
  3. Open the Material Unit Costs report.
  4. Select Product Specification (Valuation Level ID) in the selection criteria.

You see that there are no values for the selection.

Cause

As none of the materials are valuated at Product Specification level the report is not showing anything for Product specification(Valuation level ID). So, you have to first maintain valuation of material at product specification level then the report will work as expected.

Resolution

You can get the Valuation of material at Product Specification in scope by following these steps.

  1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
  2. Go to the Implementation Projects view.
  3. Click on Edit Project Scope.
  4. Go to Questions chevron and expand Financial and Management Accounting.
  5. Under Valuation of Warehouse Inventory , check the question, Do you want to allow valuation at the material, business residence and product specification level?

Once you have added the Product Specification Valuation level type to your solution profile you can assign it to the respective material by the following steps.

  1. Go to the Inventory Valuation work center.
  2. Go to the Master Data View.
  3. Go to the Materials Sub view.
  4. Select the Material ABC and click on Edit.
  5. Go to the Valuation tab.
  6. Click on Maintain Product Specification Valuation and maintain the values.
