This article describes how to use the Talent Pools Live Slide on Presentations, as well as the requirements and permissions necessary to enable this feature.

Resolution
Talent Pools are an important component of Succession Planning and often complement named Succession planning.
This feature can reduce the presentation assembly effort and provide easy access to talent information.

Permissions
In order to access and create Talent Pools live slide presentations, it is necessary to have permission to access Presentations, to see the Talent Pools nominations and at least “View” permission on the Talent Pools object.
For more information on how to grant permission to access Presentations, please follow the instructions provided in the following Knowledge Base Article: 2105211 - How to manage Presentations permissions.
To grant permission for users to access MDF Talent Pools and create the Talent Pools Live Slide, please follow the below steps:
- Go to Admin Center > Set User Permissions > Manage Permission Roles;
- Select the desired permission role;
- Click “Permissions” and on the popup navigate to User Permissions > Succession Planners;
- Enable the permission "View Talent Pool nominations";
- Still under User Permissions section, go to Miscellaneous Permissions;
- Enable at least "View Current" permission in the object "TalentPool";
- Click "Done" and "Save Changes".
To restrict the access for specific talent pools you can follow the bellow steps:
- Go to Admin Center > Set User Permissions > Manage Permission Roles;
- Select the same permission role you granted access for Talent Pools;
- Click "Edit Granting" under the section "3. Grant this role to...";
- Click "Restrict target population to:" for the object "TalentPool";
- Add a restriction (e.g. Type = Succession);
- Click "Done" and "Save Changes".

Creating Talent Pools Live Slides
Permissioned roles would now be able to access Presentations and create the Talent Pools live slide by following the below steps:
- Go to Presentations > Create a new presentation;
- In the presentation page, click in the menu to add a live slide:
- Click in the “Talent Pool” slide:
- Select the pools you want to add and click "Add Live Slide":
- The Talent Pools live slide is created to the presentation with thumbnail views of all the talent pools added:
- On full screen mode, users can access each talent pool added, similar to the Talent Pools page display:
- Clicking on the Talent Pools will show the nominations associated to the selected pool:
- Clicking on a user will open the talent card. It is possible to open multiple talent cards and compare side by side:
Changes to pools (e.g. change readiness, add/remove nominations) cannot be applied through the Talent Pools live slide presentation, only directly in the Talent Pools page.
Any changes applied to pools in the Talent Pools page will be reflected in the live slide presentation.
