A single custom role / roles in SAP Analytics Cloud maps to two different license types - Planning Professional and Planning Standard licenses.

• SAP Analytics Cloud 2017.17

If a customer has used all of their licenses of a given type (i.e. Planning Standard), the user will be assigned the next highest license available (Planning Professional).
