Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Learning
Reproducing the Issue
- Define a cost name >
- Cost calculations are configured in the item type at: Learning Administration > References > Learning Activities > Item Types > "Cost Calculation" tab >
- Then, while trying to add the cost name to an instructor in Learning, the issue occurs.
Cause
The cost name is a Java class specifically written to calculate and return a value to be used for calculating the cost of the selected item or class. When a custom cost calculator is used, a cost name should be entered, along with a valid custom cost calculator, and a currency for each cost calculation that is added to the item type.
Then the base cost can be edited to apply it to past, current or future learning (also selected learnings).
In this scenario, the cost formula is incorrect.
Resolution
If the standard cost formulas need to be amended, its impact on the system behaviour needs to be thoroughly analyzed.
This is therefore out of scope of SAP Support. Please contact SAP Professional Services for more details.
