2469465 - Error: unknown exception: SLD when running NWDI using CMS Configuration Wizard

When running configuration wizard NWDI using CMS the configuration stops with similar error:

Error: unknown exception: SLD (URL http://<host>:<port>) server exception:IO error: Read timed out (local port xxxxxx to address xxx.xxx.x.xx (myhost.com) remote port xxxxx to address xxx.xxx.x.xx (myhost.com)

in the default trace there is possibly the following similar errors:

unknown exception Exc=com.sap.cms.util.exception.client.CMSClientWrapperException: SLD

Exception while pinging the SLD
Thrown:
com.sap.lcr.api.cimclient.CIMClientException: HTTP response code: 503 (Service Unavailable)
