2471088 - How To Find Out Whether Time Sheet Entry Was Entered Manually or Imported or Generated by System ?

How to find out whether the timesheet entry for a date has been entered manually, via import or via generate time sheet background job?

• SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Time Sheet
• SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking

The timeRecordOrigin field in Employee Time object saves how the corresponding entry is generated. 
"Time Sheet Generation" indicates corresponding entry is generated by system.
"Time Sheet Import" indicates corresponding entry is imported.
Blank indicates the corresponding entry is manually created.

Please make sure the field timeRecordOrigin of EmployeeTime object is set as Visibility = Read Only at least to be able to view this field.

Then you can check either from Manager Data or by exporting Employee Time. 
Steps are:

• Check from Manage Data
1. Go to Manage Data
2. Search for the Employee Time Sheet with the external code retrieved from Trace button on the Time Sheet UI
3. Navigate to the Employee Time Sheet Entry section and click on the Details link associated with the corresponding entry
4. Scroll down to the bottom of the popup and click on View Employee Time icon associated with the Employee Time field
5. Check the value in field of 'Time Record Origin'. 
• Export of Employee Time
1. Go to Import and Export Data
2. Select the action to perform as Export Data
3. Select Generic Object as Employee Time
4. Fill other fields accordingly
5. Export
6. Then check from the exported file on the timeRecordOrigin column.

If the entry is imported and you want to get the external code of the corresponding External Time Data, it is needed to ensure the externalTimeCode field in Employee Time Sheet Entry has Visibility = Read Only at least.
This externalTimeCode field in Employee Time Sheet Entry holds the corresponding external code of the External Time Data, if this entry is imported.
