2471534 - Timeslice errors in lwp_park function() - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • Receiving a timeslice error in the module lwp_park function():

timeslice -1001, current process infected at ffffffff7eb49330 (__lwp_park+0x14)
timeslice error: spid 210 exhausted its 'time slice' of 100 milliseconds and additional 'cpu grace time' of 1000 ticks (100000 milliseconds). It has been marked for termination.

  • With a stack trace that includes the following functions:  

mutex_lock_queue
comn_take_mutex
com_err_init
ss__prop_locale
ss_sess_props
ct__api_secprop_init
ct__api_con_init
ct_con_alloc
usctconalloc
omni_backout
omni_connect
omni_backout
omni_opentable

  • And tailed by the message:

usctclose(CS_FORCE_CLOSE) returns CS_FAIL

  • A reboot of the ASE server was required.
