Symptom
- In an ASE server, there is a long running process (spid) with
- a status of "recv sleep" and
- cmd showing "AWAITING COMMAND" and
- a starttime that is well before the current time
- This process shows a transaction name of $user_transaction or $chained_transaction
- This process is blocking other ASE spids, which can show as "lock sleep" and/or
- This process is causing the transaction log to fill up as a dump tran is not releasing log space
