2472848 - Changes to decrease parameters number of network tasks and number of disk tasks are not dynamic

Symptom

Changes to decrease parameters 'number of network tasks' and 'number of disk tasks' are not dynamic. When decreasing the value for them, the status is static.

We will see the following message when changing these parameters:

  • You cannot decrease the 'number of disk tasks' parameter at runtime. The new setting will take effect when you restart Adaptive Server.

  • You cannot decrease the 'number of network tasks' parameter at runtime. The new setting will take effect when you restart Adaptive Server.
