2473028 - Cannot start ASE dispatcher - JDBC Connection is closed

Symptom

  • You are using SAP Identity Management 8.0 on SAP ASE version which is 16 SP01 or higher.
  • You cannot start your dispatcher via the IDM Dispatcher Utility.  You observe the below error in the Prelog.log or when you test the dispatcher:
    com.sap.idm.db.exceptions.IdMDbException: JDBC Connection is closed
    at com.sap.idm.db.util.DBConnectionUtil.validateConnection(DBConnectionUtil.java:21)
