Symptom

  • Connection test of MssqlLogReaderAdapter-based remote source fails.
  • Error message in framework.trc:
    • Unable to connect remote source: Adapter validation failed. Failed to establish JDBC connection. Error: The TCP/IP connection to the host <IP address>, port 1433 has failed. Error: "connect timed out (local port <random port> to address <IP address>, remote port 1433 to address <IP address>). Verify the connection properties. Make sure that an instance of SQL Server is running on the host and accepting TCP/IP connections at the port. Make sure that TCP connections to the port are not block.
