When applications open a large number of connection (usually more than 1000) to SAP ASE, some of them can fail with the following error message at client side:

  • SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) 16.0 on HP-UX Itanium platform
  • SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) 15.7 SP130 and later on HP-UX Itanium platform
