2474449 - Fault Manager cannot connect to a database server using floating virtual hostname - SRS

Symptom

  • Floating IP Address used
  • Fault Manager log shows:
    • Error: sapdbctrl: unexpected result from sp_listener status
    • ERROR in function SQLConnectWithRetry (1011) (SQLConnectWithRetry failed): (30294) [HY000] [SAP][ASE ODBC Driver]There is no server listening at <hostname>:<portnumber>.
    • ERROR in function SQLConnectWithRetry (1011) (SQLConnectWithRetry failed): (30012) [08001] [SAP][ASE ODBC Driver]Client unable to establish a connection
