2474567 - Teradata 15 or later Syntax error when using substring - Data Services

• Error: "(R) (9552:8944) DBS-070404: |Session <job name> SQL submitted to ODBC data source <TD Source> resulted in error <[Teradata][ODBC Teradata Driver][Teradata Database] Syntax error: expected something between the word 'part of sql query' and ','. >. The SQL submitted is <SELECT substring(COLUMN NAME,1,4) as COLUMN NAME, ... FROM  TABLE NAME>.
• Connecting to a newer version of Teradata where the use of substring() function is discontinued.
• This is custom sql written by the enduser (customer) and called by the SQL() function in a Data Services script or custom function (SQL is NOT generated by Data Services itself, but built by the enduser and just passed to the database using the SQL() function in scripting).
