2474689 - Error Message When Assigning Payment File Structure to Payment Medium Format: Value in setting DMEE Configuration must also be entered in setting Data Medium Exchange Engine Mapping Tree

You want to assign a payment file structure to a payment medium format in the Outgoing Bank Transfers fine tuning activity but you receive an error message while saving:

"Value XYZ in setting DMEE Configuration must also be entered in setting Data Medium Exchange Engine Mapping Tree." (XYZ represents the payment file structure ID)

SAP Business ByDesign.

1. In the  Business Configuration work center access the Outgoing Bank Transfers fine tuning activity. 
2. Press Edit assignment of payment file structures to the payment medium formats.
3. Press Add Row.
4. Enter the concerned payment medium format, character set and file structure ID
5. Press Save. 

The error message "Value XYZ in setting DMEE Configuration must also be entered in setting Data Medium Exchange Engine Mapping Tree" appears.

The entered File Structure ID entered is incorrect, it does not exist among the Payment File Structures in the system.

Very likely you are assigning a customized file structure ID.  There might be a typo while assigning it to a Payment Medium Format (You might have entered ZCH_DTAA instead of ZCH_DTA).

Please check and correct the File Structure ID entered. Once you enter the correct file structure you'll be able to save the assignment successfully.*

*However, if you have verified that the file structure ID is correct but the error still appears it is possible that the payment medium format mapping is not updated. In this case send an case to Product Support to request the payment medium format update and to connect the new file structure to the payment medium format.
