2474916 - How to grant SAP Jam access to users in SuccessFactors

User is unable to access SAP Jam without being granted SAP Jam access permissions in SuccessFactors SF under Role Based Permissions RBP

There are two steps involved:

1. Create a Permission Group (if the desired group of users does not already exist). This group will contain the users that you want to grant SAP Jam access to.

2. Create a Permission Role Here you specify what permissions users in this role should have. Then you add the Permission Group to the role.

 

Step 1: Create a Permission Group

1. In SF, Go to to 'Admin Center' section
2. Search for 'Manage Permission Groups'.
3. Click 'Create New', enter a Group Name, select the Group Members and click 'Done'. These will be the users that you want to grant SAP Jam access to.

 

Step 2: Create a Permission Role

1. In SF, go to 'Admin Center' section
2. Got to > 'Manage Permission Roles'
3. Enter a Role Name (1), Click Permissions (2), in the Permission setting section click 'General User Permissions' (3), select the 'Jam Access' tickbox, and click 'Done'

4. Grant the role to the relevant group. To do this click on 'Add' then click on 'Select':

5. Next select the tickbox for the Permission Group you created in step 1 and click 'Done'.

 

Please Note:

•  This group of users will have SAP Jam access after the next nightly/Detla sync between BizX and SAP Jam. Please see KBA 2152655 for information on the nightly syncs.
• If still there are some issues, please reach out to support team and ask to verify the BizX-SAP Jam integration for your instance. Please make sure to provide your system details, company ID, Support access username & users affected.
• For Non-RBP (Role Based Permission) Users: log in as a Bizx Administrator -> In Set User Permission section search for SAP Jam Access Permission -> From there you can grant or revoke permission for group of users

 

IMPORTANT:

New JAM users will reflect in your JAM instance only after they log in and enter the instance by themselves. If they do not log in, even if they have JAM access role and permission, they cannot be searched in JAM and their information won't be available.
