2475172 - GetSAPControlInterface failed in Windows Failover Clusters

Symptom

  • SAP instances configured in Windows Failover Cluster can not be started.
  • Cluster resources "SAP <SAPSID> <NR> Service", or "SAP <SAPSID> <NR> Instance" fail to start.
  • Errors in Event Viewer application logs for SAP services  SAP<SAPSID>_<Inst. NR>  are similar to these: 

GetSAPControlInterface failed NT Error: Server execution failed

GetSAPControlInterface failed NT Error: Class not registered

GetSAPControlInterface failed NT Error: Library not registered

GetSAPControlInterface failed NT Error: No such interface supported

Error 2147647517 bringing resource online.

Error 2148007941 bringing resource online.
