2475299 - Error: "Logon failed. Invalid Salesforce URL used..." when attempting to connect to Salesforce.com from Crystal Reports

• Unable to connect to Salesforce.com
• When attempting to connect to Salesforce.com from Crystal Reports, it fails with the error:
        
  "Logon failed
   Details: HY000:[Simba][Saleforce] (60) Invalid Salesforce URL used for connection: https://<connection name>/service/Soap/u/23.0.
   Only URLs connecting to salesforce.com or visual.force.com are allowed. [Database Vendore Code: 60 ]"

1. In Crystal Reports, create a new report, and in the "Database Expert", select "Salesforce.com"
2. In the "Salesforce.com" window, enter the Salesforce.com server to connect to, as well as the user credentials.
3. When clicking "Finish" to connect, it fails with the error:
           
   "Logon failed
    Details: HY000:[Simba][Saleforce] (60) Invalid Salesforce URL used for connection: https://<connection name>/service/Soap/u/23.0.
    Only URLs connecting to salesforce.com or visual.force.com are allowed. [Database Vendore Code: 60 ]"
       

• The Salesforce.com server url entered in the connection is invalid.

• To connect to Salesforce.com from Crystal Reports, ensure the server url is valid:
     
1. In Crystal Reports, create a new report, and select the connection type: Salesforce
      
2. In the Salesforce.com window, enter a valid url under Server. One of the valid url to connect to Salesforce is: login.salesforce.com
   
           
   
    
         
3. Then enter your user name and password to successfully connect to Salesforce.com
