Symptom
When browsing items in the library or accessing them through Learning History, users are unable to view the "Start Course" or "Assign to Me" buttons.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Learning
Reproducing the Issue
- Log in as user > Navigate to the Learning module >
- Perform a library search >
- None of the items display the "Start Course" or "Assign to Me" buttons.
Cause
The user's role is missing a permission.
Resolution
First, navigate to the impacted user's record (Learning Administration > People > Users) to see the role assigned to the user, by checking the "Role" field.
Then double-check the user's role:
- Learning Administration > System Administration > Security > Role Management >
- Search for the required role > Open it in edit mode >
- "Permissions" tab >
- Click "add one or more from list" > Search for the "Add to Learning Assignments" permission > Click the "Add" checkbox > Then, the "Add" button >
- After that, the user should be able to see the missing buttons again.
If you'd like to disable the option that allows users to add items to their learning plan, the "Add to Learning Assignments" permission can be removed from the user's role following the process above.
