2475537 - Error Raised when Creating an Extension field for a Manual Journal Entry Voucher: Field Creation in business context Coding block no longer supported

While adding an Extension Field to the Item Details of a Manual Journal Entry Voucher, you get the error message Field Creation in business context Coding block no longer supported.

1. Go to the General Ledger Work Centre
2. Go to the Journal Entry Voucher View
3. Click on Adapt and then Enter Adaptation Mode
4. Click On New - Journal Entry Voucher
5. Click On Adapt - Edit Screen
6. On the bottom right-hand corner of the Adapt Pane, click on Extension Field
7. In Sections Enabled for Extension Fields, select Item Details - Manual Posting - Journal Entry Voucher
8. In List of Fields, click on the Add button
9. In Field label (mandatory) enter the relevant information or just "Test"
10. Click on Save

Error message Field creation in business context Coding Block no longer supported is raised

This is the expected behaviour. When creating your extension field at Item level, you have to make sure that the Business Context of the field is set up proprely to match this Section.

Follow the same steps as before in order to create your Extension Field. Before saving, make sure the Business Context is set up to Journal Entry Voucher - Item in the Add New Field prompt screen:

1. In the Adapt Pane , click on Extension Field
2. In Sections Enabled for Extension Fields, select Item Details - Manual Posting - Journal Entry Voucher
3. In List of Fields, click on the Add button
4. At the top of the new pop-up window, click on the scroll down menu for Business Context
5. Select Journal Entry Voucher - Item
6. In Field label enter the relevant information
7. Click on Save

 The error message is not raised anymore and your Extension Field will now be published in the Item Details section as expected.
