Symptom
You are able to create Job Requisitions in the Position Org Chart even if the position has no vacancies.
"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
- Position Management
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Admin Center
- Search for Manage Positions
- Check which is the status of the "To Be Hired" field in the position that you need to create a requisition
5. Go to Position Org Chart
6. Select the position and click on "Show Menu" Option
7.Click on "Create Job Requisition"
8. The system will allow you to create the requisition
Cause
This configuration is working as expected, you can create Job Requisitions on already filled positions.
Resolution
In case you do not want to allow this behavior, you need to add a statement to the Rule that is used to default the template. In such a case you can raise a custom error by the rule instead of setting a template id.
Example:
- Go to Admin Center
- Search for "Position Management Settings"
- Open the "Integration" tab
- Select the option "Rule for Mapping Fields Between Position and Job Requisition" and open the rule
5. Click Take Action
6. For every "IF" condition you need to add a statement in the rule that will check if the position is set to be hired as Yes.
7. Then add the else statement to raise a message with error category.
That way, every time some employee tries to create a new Job Requisition the system will not allow it to created because there is no vacancies for that position.
