Symptom

When changing a characteristic in transaction CT04, the following short dump occurs:

Runtime Errors DBSQL_DUPLICATE_KEY_ERROR
Except.            CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
ABAP Program  SAPLCTVB
Application Component CA-CL-CHR

with keywords:

"DBSQL_DUPLICATE_KEY_ERROR" CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
"SAPLCTVB" bzw. LCTVBF58
"SAVE_DATA"

and nothing can be saved.
