2479837 - Unable to Migrate Sales Orders Using Migration of Open Sales Order Activity

Migration of Open Sales Order is failing using the Migration tool. You get the below error:

Error : "Service call failed"

1. Go to Business Configuration workcenter.
2. Select Overview view.
3. Select and open  Migration of Open sales order activity.
4. Select and execute the required template.

There could be multiple reasons which could cause the Sales Order upload to fail. One of the scenario is listed as below:

If you try to migrate a Sales Order associated with Kit using Migration service(which is not yet possible) hence an error is being thrown.

 

Currently the error message could not be thrown because of the dump.
The dump will be corrected in one of the future release however the Kit migration in Sales order is not in scope for near future releases.

As workaround you can use Sales order creation with kits through another web service : ManageSalesOrderIn.
