2480908 - SMP doesn't scan forwarded content for viruses - OData Runtime

Symptom

  • SMP doesn't scan content for viruses that is forwarded by SMP. E.g. OData Proxy requests. SMP scans only client uploads and persistent content.
  • For example, when inserting a virus code into a textbox in the client and sending it to the backend through SMP, SMP doesn't scan the forwarded content therefore the virus code may arrive to the backend. Real life example: inserting the EICAR test virus' code into a textbox in the client will be not identified by SMP as a virus.
