2480915 - Skill Search Feature: Only rated skills - Employee Profile

System behavior when selecting "Only rated skills" displays Unrated Skills

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Profile

1. Click the link in the"Skills Profile" portlet > click on "Find other people with these Skills":
   
   
   
   
2. It will direct you to Directory Search / Skill Search:
   
   
   
   
3. Click on "Only rated skills":
   
   
4. It will still display people with Unrated Skills:
   
   
   
   
5. Click on "Employee's" quick card:
   
   
   
   
6. His Skills were not rated:
   
    

There are two kinds of Skills: The Rated Skills and Self-Reported Skills.

Rated Skills are the one you rate, and is being auto-populated in the Skills Profile portlet.
These skills were also mapped to the Role in Manage Job Profile Content.
These skills will show up when you do a Skill Search whether there is no rating in Skill Profile portlet.

Self-reported Skills, on the other hand are manually added in Skill Profile portlet.

To add Self-reported skills, click the drop-down beside "Add Skill" button > Self-reported skills will display > Select a Skill > Click on the "Add" button:

Headers (Skill, Employee Self-Rating, & Rating) & the "Find other people with these skills" will show up.

Click on "Find other people with these skills" > It will display all the skills even the self-reported Skills > Click on "Only rated skills"

Self-reported skills will not show up anymore:

 NOTE:

Currently is not possible to disable the 'Find other people with these skills' feature.

Product management team confirmed that no improvement will be done to the Feature. The Skill approach is not part of SAP strategy and it will replaced with Whole Self Model (Talent Intelligence Hub). When fully integrated, skill profile will have no source.
