2481585 - Time Off termination rule is not triggered while terminating employee

When the accrual frequency is monthly and the employee is terminated on the last day of the month, the termination rule is not triggered and the Time Account balance as of termination date shown on the termination screen is incorrect.

1. User gets monthly prorate accrual at the end of every month as shown below:

4. When terminating user on 30/01/2017,the termination rules posts 2 days to Annual Leave Entitlement, which is correct as per the rule configured.

5. However, when terminating user on 31/01/2017, the Annual Leave Entitlement is 1.5, which is incorrect, since as per termination rule it should have posted 2 days.

 This is an expected behavior, working as per system design.

The Accrual frequency is monthly, so when terminating an employee in the month of Jan 2017, his termination period is from 1^st Jan 2017 to 31^st Jan 2017 i.e termination rule will trigger only if the effective termination date falls in this period.

Scenario 1

When you terminate an employee on 30^th Jan 2017, the effective date of termination is 31^st Jan 2017, which is within the termination period (1^st Jan 2017 to 31^st Jan 2017). Therefore the termination rule will trigger.

Scenario 2

When you terminate an employee with last working day = 31^st Jan 2017, the effective date of termination is 1^st Feb 2017, which is outside the termination period (1^st Jan 2017 to 31^st Jan 2017).

The January accrual period is fully completed with working days, as the employee stays the whole month within the company. Therefore no termination processing is necessary for this period and termination rule will not be called.
