2481950 - HWCCT – "Could not load the Python Modules" or source envprofile.sh: file not found

Symptom

When you run the Hardware Configuration Check Tool (HWCCT), you see one or both of the following errors:
<sidadm>@hostname:/hana/shared/hwcct> ./hwval -f landscape_test_cfg_template.json
Could not load the Python Modules

and when you try to load the environment profile:
<sidadm>@hostname:/hana/shared/hwcct> source envprofile.sh
-sh: source: envprofile.sh: file not found

As a result, the HWCCT checks do not start correctly.

Environment

The issue was reported in the following environment:

  • SAP HANA 2.0 Revision 2.00.010.00.1491294693
  • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 (ppc64le)

Similar behavior can also occur in other environments, for example:

  • SAP HANA 1.0
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux
