Symptom

  • ASE system is shutting down periodically with the following messages in the errorlog:

kisignal: SQL Server terminated by system shutdown.
shutdownproc: shutting down SQL Server!
Job Scheduler Agent has shutdown.
Job Scheduler Task state set to stop
SQL Server terminating because of system shutdown.
ASE shutdown by request.
ueshutdown: exiting
Main thread performing final shutdown.
Blocking call queue shutdown

  • Server was not shutdown manually by a user
