2482662 - How to Configure Work Schedule

Symptom

Would it be possible to display the exact day-off for each employee working on partial time?

Reproducing the Issue

Cannot view employee's working days.

Cause

Work Schedule has not been configured.

Resolution

A Work Schedule defines the employee's working pattern. It is assigned to an employee's Job Information, showing how many days per week the employee is going to work.
There are three models: Simple, Period, Schedule.

To configure a Work Schedule, proceed according to instructions below. In this example, we will configure a Simple model of 7 hours > 5 days > week  (35hrs /week) with Wednesday & Friday as half days;  and Saturday & Sundays as days off. 

  1. Create new Work Schedule;

  2. Enter relevant details;

  4. Assign the Schedule to Employee by editing Job Information;

  5. In the details, select your Schedule;

  6. Verify the Details;

  7. If you get any errors, you will need to configure what is mentioned in the error dialog;

  8. In this case, configure 1, 2 and 3 and save;

  9. Save and Return to Time Off to notice that your feature has updated. Access "Administer Time" for details.

  10.  Confirm whether the Work Schedule tab reflects the information correctly.

Please note:

● Take care when choosing which model you use. You cannot change the model in a Work Schedule once the work schedule has been used.

● The User field, where you enter an User ID if you are creating an individual Work Schedule, is relevant for the Period model only.

● You cannot convert an individual Work Schedule into a general one by, for example, removing the User ID.
