You are trying to generate the stack XML file for upgrading from SAP ECC 5.0 to SAP ERP 6.0 in maintenance planner.
1. Select the option "Install or Maintain an Enhancement Package"
2. Select any target version in the list, for example "EHP7 for SAP ERP 6.0"
After that, Maintenance Planner return back to the page of step 1 without any change or error. And you cannot go on further with the planning.
