2483457 - Error: "The configured value for parameter 'kernel resource memory' is too low" - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • When changing a configuration parameter on a running ASE, it returns message that 'kernel resource memory' is too low that make that change
    or
  • When starting ASE, the boot fails and the errorlog prints that 'kernel resource memory' is too low:

    The configured value '12345' for parameter 'kernel resource memory' is too low. It should be at least '12456' for the present configuration.
