You have an Instructor-Led Course and you would want to be notified when there are users who requests for scheduled offering.
SuccessFactors Learning Management System
Reproducing the Issue
- Log in as a user.
- Search for an Instructor-Led Training Course.
- Request a schedule.
- No real-time notification will be received by the contact email address in that ILT course.
This is an expected behaviour of the system.
No individual and real-time notifications are being sent to the contact each time a user requests a schedule.
However, there are other ways to see those requests.
Following are the available options to see/be notified of the users' requested schedule for items in your LMS system.
1. Schedule the automatic process 'Item Scheduling Demand Notification'
In System Admin > Automatic Processes > Item Scheduling Demand, the item schedule demand automatic process sends notifications when it finds that the number of requests for an item matches or exceeds the minimum number of registration set of the scheduled offering. This automatic process uses the ApmComponentRequest template.
The recipient of this notification will be the contact email address maintained on the item and the email address maintained in the scheduled process (see following screenshot).
The ‘Reminder Period’ indicate the number of days between each reminder sent to a user, independent of the process scheduling. (Ex.: if value = 1, notification will be sent once a day no matter how many times you run the job within the day.)
Make sure that the ‘Schedule This Process’ checkbox is checked if you want to activate this process.
2. Check the requests at item level
To see the list of schedule requests per item, open the item, click Related More > Requests.
3. Utilize the 'Item Requests' report.
This report will display the list of requested schedules for all items, depending on your selection.
